The Mystic Rose periodical has been produced in homage to the various occult periodicals published in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries throughout theUnited States and Europe. Key esoteric periodicals such as The Occult Review, TheQuest, The Path, The Word, and Manly P. Halls All-Seeing Eye, are just a few of thesignificant publications from which we have drawn inspiration.

Each release will feature original contributions from the author Ernest J. Rose, alongside a section titled “Classic Esoteric Reprints,” which will include relevant articles reprinted from notable historical esoteric periodicals.

The Mystic Rosewill be published twice a year, coinciding with the Vernal and Autumnal Equinoxes. Please note that only a limited number of physical copies will be available for each volume.

This second issue explores Alchemy and its significance in our creative pursuits and everyday experiences. The editor has contributed two articles: The Creative Expression: Notes in the Grand Symphony of Light and Alchemy: The Synthesis of Experience.

Additionally, there is a brief excerpt titledThe Alchemist’s Great Work” by Harold W. Percival, which was originally published in Percival’s esoteric magazine, The Word, in 1916. The second article, titled “The Art of Living” was written by a lesser-known author named Aquila Kempster and was also published in The Word in 1916.
