Nedoure Priestess of the Magi by Dr. T.J. Betiero

The author Thomas J. Betiero was educated at the University of Barcelona, and spent many years of his life in the Orient including, Turkey, Persia, India and Tibet were he received credentials as a Hindoo Priest and the Dalai-Lama of Tibet. Betiero was associated with the Sacred College of the Magi of Chicago whom had other notable occult authors such as Willis F. Whitehead, R.S. Clymer and Rakadazan. The charter members of this organization promised to republish every 50 years (a complete magical cycle) this novel by Betiero “Nedoure Priestess of the Magi”. R.S. Clymer kept good on this promise and republished the title in 1958, this being the more common edition on the market. The Wohlstein & Co edition listed here however is scarce.

Note; although the title page here reads ‘Revised Edition’ this is in fact the first edition. The revision was most likely derived from the original papyrus that the story was purportedly derived from.

The author states “…I found stored away in one of the dusty pigeon-holes, a roll of papyrus, which showed unmistakable signs of great age. It was written in the Pali-Sanscrit, a meagre knowledge of which enabled me to decipher, at the beginning the word “Nedoure.”

Condition: Original pictorial decorated boards, title stamped to spine, slight darkening to spine, bookplate to pastedown, all pages are clean with no markings, overall in Very Good condition
