The Heavenly Doctrine to reform Christianity. This gave birth to what is still today know as swedenborgian sprituality or thought. The set presented here is complete set of his key work Arcana Coelestia; containing the holy scripture or Word of the Lord Unfolded in an exposition of Genesis and Exodus together with Wonderful Things Seen in the World of Spirits and in the Heavens of Angels. A beautiful set not often found in this condition.

Provenance: each book contains bookplate of the ‘Duke of Hamilton’ with the famous coat of arms. Which also suggests that the set was originally put together and kept togetherthroughout.

Condition: Publishers green cloth boards, gilt title to spine and coat of arms to upper board of each volume, vol 3 and 4 with light dust soiling, each containing a bookplate ofthe ‘Duke of Hamilton’, binding firm on all volumes, pages clean without markings, generally the set has some nicks to the corners, overall the set is bright and in Very Good condition
