A complete collection of 51 issues of Gnosis magazine. Gnosis was a prominent publication focused on the esoteric spiritual traditions of the West.

Wouter Hanegraaff, a professor of the history of hermetic philosophy and related fields at the University of Amsterdam, noted that although the work was intended for a general audience, it significantly helped establish academic standards in a field where university positions and curricula focused on Western esotericism were still lacking. During the 1980s and 1990s, this field was often dominated by sensationalism and a lack of understanding.

Gnosis magazine features contributions from writers like Richard Smoley, David Fideler, Jay Kinney, and Stephan Hoeller, along with interviews with notable thinkers and teachers. Each issue explores key aspects of Western occultism and esotericism, covering topics such as Gnosticism, magic, Kabbalah, secret societies, spirituality, alchemy, Jung, dreams, psychedelics, and more. The magazine includes essays by figures like Joscelyn Godwin, John Dee, Robert Anton Wilson, Dion Fortune, Aleister Crowley, and many others. Additionally, each issue features book reviews, artwork, and advertisements.

Complete runs of these issues are scarce, especially in this condition. Most of the issues still include the original advertisements and order inserts, which reflects how well they were preserved. This collection was accumulated over the years by the late Dr. John Ryan Haule, a Jungian analyst and author. They remained in his collection until our recent acquisition.
